Songea Ruby Sapphire Parcels - $10/carat
Locality: NigeriaBasically the Songea Sapphire find is long gone, this is a parcel of pink, orange, red, teal, and color shift material that I had left over.
The colors all vary and the sizes are not large (average is about 1.3 to 1.5 carats), but then how often do you even see this type of color and rough.
This material is ALL good color and basically clean and will cut nice accent stones...
There maybe some occasional spots, but I have cleaned through this...
Note: The picture is of the actual parcel. That being said, here is a real bargain for any one that wants to cut Sapphires. This is just poured out of the bag and the supply is very limited.

Peridot - $0.60 to $0.40/carat
Locality: San Carlos, AZThis material is mixed and basically poured out of a bag.
This is all older material that was tumbled.
The clarity is all mixed and there is a lot of clean stones in this... but there are not clean stones also. How ever the pricing reflects this.
This is from an old time source, the San Carlos reservation Peridot mine. There is not much material available from this mine any more.
This material averages about 3 carats...
I dumped out a hand full of stones counted them and divided into the total weight several times... This material cuts very well and this is much easier to work with because it has been tumbled. The color is mostly bright green but there are a few darker stones.
While it last, random pours...
Parcels Currently Available:
100 carats @ $60.00 ($0.60/ct)
500 carats @ $200.00 ($0.40/ct)
Green Nigerian Tourmaline - $4/carat
Locality: NigeriaThis is decent clean green Tourmaline in good size stones. This material has a sand blasted looking rind that makes the material appear darker than it really is. This material is not light, more a medium saturation in many cases but it will cut nice finished stones. Some of the "c" axis's are open some are not.
As we all know Tourmaline is getting difficult to get and there is not much around. The color of this material is decent and the price is very reasonable.
So my advice is that if you want to cut some larger Tourmaline this is a good deal. The material is not expensive, nice size and decent color.
This would be very good practice for anyone wanting to cut Tourmaline or anyone that is cutting Tourmaline for the first time.
At this price for larger stones it is hard to go wrong and these are good cutting as well as ideal for people wanting to try a piece of Tourmaline.

Green/peach Nigerian Tourmaline - $4/carat
Locality: NigeriaThis is decent clean green Tourmaline in good size stones. This material has a sand blasted looking rind that makes the material appear darker than it really is. This material is a nice light green to a forest green, peach to peach/green. In most cases the "c" axis is open, sometimes dark, but open on most of these stones. Often there is a dark outer rind on this material. This material is all water worn and it is clean.
The color of this material is decent and the price is very reasonable. This would be very good practice for anyone wanting to cut Tourmaline or anyone that is cutting Tourmaline for the first time. At this price for larger stones (5+ carats average) it is hard to go wrong and these are good cutting as well as ideal for people wanting to try a piece of Tourmaline.
Note: The Peach pieces tend to be the smaller ones, most of these stones are nice green, grass green, moss, green, and forest green.
