Brazilian Green Crystal Tourmaline -$2 to $6/carat

Brazilian Green Crystal Tourmaline Brazil Crystal tourmaline in "Diag - Opposed Bar"

Clean green crystal Tourmaline like this used to be pretty common coming out of Brazil, but most of the mines are not producing this type of rough any more. There used to be a lot of this material commercial cut in step designs. This material is heavily saturated and a has closed "c" axis's (usually), the color is a very nice grass to Kelly green with some blue green areas. I would only recommend that this material be cut in a medium to small size Emerald cut, or better (best) an Opposed bars and checkerboards. If you like dark green flash, and darker stones in general, you will like this material. It is not expensive...
