Zambian Tourmaline Nodules - $3 to $100/carat
Locality: Zambia, Africa

This material is all water worn nodules, and will cut with very good yields. The colors range a bit from a light yellow green to a blue/Kelly green to pink/Rubellite. Satutration on almost all of this rough is medium light to medium dark and easy to work with.

A lot of this material has a thin green rind, that will cut off easily with no trouble.

Note: I have "hand cleaned" the rinds off of quite a few of these stones. So they are shaped well and will yield well.

Although sometimes unusual when finished all these colors are nice. Almost any good Tourmaline design will work well in this material.
