Natural Blue Topaz - $.35 to $1.00/carat
Locality: Brazil
![]()
These preforms are sawed clean, but not really preformed much and are ideal for a new cutter who has not cut Topaz before, but does have at least a few stones under their belt. This material occurs naturally and is not "nuked" blue like the majority of blue Topaz, it is natural. The color is a soft/light baby blue and cuts a nice stone and is certainly affordable. Deep designs like a Barion are ideal to help with the color.
Note: The color of this material is nothing like quality Aquamarine color (as I have seen advertised). It is a nice baby blue, but lighter/paler than good color Aqua. Topaz should not be one of a new cutters first stones. It can be problematic to work with sometimes, although usually not a problem.Currently Available:
1 each 201.0 carats - $201.00 light blue, best cut trillion - 34.8mm x 42.5mm x 17.5mm deep
