Gram Faceting: Citrine Facet / Faceting Rough

Saw Cleaned Citrine - $0.80/ct to 0.60/ct
Locality: Brazil

This material is nice medium color gold/orange. This is saw cleaned but there maybe an occasional ding. The color is all pretty good, there are some color zones, but most of this material is nice color and will facet quite well. Sizes range fro 5-15 carats... The average is 10 carats per piece. Random pours only.

Maraba Citrine Crystal Points - $1.45 to $3.00/carat
Locality: Brazil, South America

This Citrine is very nice for the money, both in color and shape, it is all crystal points so the yields will be very good. The color of this material is a bright, orange/gold. This material cuts a pretty gold/orange stone with red/gold highlights and there is not much else that will come close to matching it in color. This material cuts well in about any design and I particularly like it in Barions or anything that has a deeper depth. Brilliant designs work well also.

Note: On the less expensive pieces there maybe some color zones, but generally nothing that would cause a problem.

This Citrine is unusual in color, it is natural and unheated, and as you can see it makes a very pretty bright stone when cut. There may be an occasional bubble or spot... It cuts like any other Quartz, and works well in most designs, I prefer it in deeper designs, it is ideal for Barions.
