Petalite - $0.50 to $0.30/carat
Locality: Araçuaí in Minas Gerais, Brazil

 

This material is unusual but not especially very rare, I see it fairly often. It cuts like feldspar or quartz and and works well in any of those type of designs. I prefer deep designs. This material is all sawed clean and will yield faily well. The stone sizes range from about 5 to 15 carats with a few smaller or larger. The shapes are all random.
