There is some confusion about what color Tsavorite Garnet is.

There seems to be people calling all types of green Garnets Tsavorite, so be aware if it does not look rich Chrome green, it is not Tsavorite.

Tsavorite is probably the top commercial Garnet there is. This material is in extremely high demand, especially in top color. There is very little production of Tsavorite Garnet, and material that has a true medium green that is not too dark or has a yellow over tone is a tiny percentage of the very small over all production of this type of Garnet. Tsavorite Garnets are typicall small in size, a 1 carat stone is considered good size, and thing larger than 2 carats is large.
