Mint Merlani - $90 to $400/carat

This material is getting extremely difficult to get and for obvious reasons has become quite expensive.

It is a green Garnet and historically nice green Garnets like Tsavorite (now mint) have always been in very high demand and costly.

Mint Merlani is becoming as sought after as Tsavorite and for very good reasons. Very few Garnets will have the sparkly appeal of a quality well cut mint Garnet. Typically this Garnet is on the small side with 1/2 carat to 2 carat stones being normal. Larger stones are not generally available and rough that will cut a carat or above in finished sizes is just not common. Also this material is usually included in some way, often bubbles and/or silk. It is difficult to get clean material... These stones are clean.

Note: This rough is in extremely short supply an has taken a very significant price increase at the mine. Especially any rough over a gram or that will cut larger than 1 carat.
