Morganite Beryl - $8 to $16/carat

These pieces of Beryl have a nice pink to a slight pink/peach cast to them and are all decent color saturation. Morganite is never very saturated, these stones will all cut bright with good life and color if handled properly. This material is ideal for deep Barions and checkerboard designs. It is very easy to over power the light pink color in Morganite, so it is very important to choose a design carefully. Beryl can be a little heat sensitive, but usually causes no problems during cutting and polishing.
