Helidore (yellow/green/gold Beryl) - $8 to $40/carat
Locality: Brazil

This Beryl is an unusual medium yellow with golden highlights to a yellow very slight green tint.

Crystals this size and clean are getting very rare.

These pieces are very well shaped and clean with the exception of the large flat crystal... It has a triangular shaped 2nd crystal that grew on the base.

I left it because the formation is unique and a carver may want to take advantage of the natural beauty of the crystal growth.

I was told this color is natural, but there is no way to know for sure... I do tend to believe the miner/source because I have known them for years. But there is no guarantee. The color as you can see is a very bright lemon color.

Note: Yellow Beryl is some times irradiated, I was told this is natural color. But... you never know.
