Sea Foam Beryl - $6 to $16/carat
Locality: Brazil, South America
This Sea Foam Beryl is ideal for Barion cuts, it is a very lightly saturated, green sea foam/yellow/light blue color. Because of the shape of the crystals (Beryl) this material is great for making matched sets and suites. By cutting the long ones down into manageable sizes lengthwise, you can get some easy matches that are usually hard to find, also they can be cut as very long clean rectangles, which is not seen often.

This material will heat to a light blue Aquamarine, but I cannot imagine why anybody would want to change this very unusual color range. This material has a light etch on the rind, but is very clean (flawless in most cases) and ranges from 3/16" to 5/16" in diameter with lengths up to 2". It cuts like most Beryl's, slightly heat sensitive, but over all easy to read and cut.
