Huge Aquamarine (Beryl) $30/ct
Locality: Afghanistan

These stones are from a mine on the Afghan/Pakistan border, that has been producing some very nice Beryl, but rarely anything this large, clean, and solid color.

This material is what I would call medium/light color blue seafoam (unheated as far as I know). These stones are very large sizes, which helps darken the color, and are some of the highest clarity Beryl I have ever seen. This material will work very well in about any design, but I recommend Barions to help improve color. This rough has the size for Barions and will be stunning.

Aquamarine - Beryl $5 to $30/ct
Locality: Afghanistan
These stones are from a new mine on the Afghan/Pakistan border, that has recently been producing some very nice Beryl.

This material is very pale to light blue in small stones and the larger stones because of size are light blue to blue.

This is some of the highest clarity Beryl I have ever seen and cuts a very bright clean stone.

It is difficult to get Aquamarine in large clean pieces like this and the larger stone in particular cut a very nice medium/light saturated blue gem stone. I recommend that this material be cut in Barions and any other deep design that will help darken color.
