Fancy Color SapphiresCommercially Cut
Sapphire Gemstones

As you may or may not know Sapphire rough is almost never available in commercial colors to American cutters.

So I can very seldom get quality rough Sapphires to cut myself.

So... I have found the best commercial cut stones I can...

Note: All pairs are just close matches in color and size, it is almost impossiable to get exact matches in commecial cut gemstones.

Welcome to my Commercial & American Cut Sapphire Gemstone pages, all of the stones that you see here are cut by professional commercial cutters... These stones are not cut by me... But they are all selected by me for their quality and interesting cuts/designs.

Blue Sapphires
Color Change Sapphires
Collector Sapphires (Padaparadschah, Ceylon...)
Hot Pink/Cranberry Sapphires
Peach/Orange/Gold Sapphires
Pink Sapphires
Purple/Lavender Sapphires
Yellow Sapphires
White Sapphires

Please Note: That I am not using GIA's grading system for colored stones... Except for the gemstones that I have had GIA certified.

IF (Internally Flawless) = Free of inclusions under a 10x loupe magnification.

VVS (Very, very small inclusions) = Very few, very small inclusions under 10x loupe magnification, difficult to find.

VS (Very small inclusions) = Some small inclusions recognizable by an expert under 10x Loupe magnification.

SI (Small inclusions) = Several small inclusions easily recognizable under 10x loupe magnification, but not diminishing the brilliance appreciably. This is what I would call "eye clean" but this term is often abused...

P1 (1st Pique) = Inclusions at once recognizable under 10x loupe magnification, but not diminishing the brilliance of the stone appreciably.

P2 (2nd Pique) = Larger and/or many inclusions, slightly diminishing the brilliance, recognizable with the naked eye.

P3 (3rd Pique) = Large and/or many inclusions diminishing the brilliance.
