Other people may have differeing opinions. Here are my expereicences.
For people that may wonder.

I have discontinued carrying Hi Tech saws because of lack of service from the company that makes them.

I no longer carry the "Tiny Trim" because of the last 6 saws I ordered in for stock 5 of them had problems. The motor spun when you turned on the saw, not the blade. The clamp would not tighten down enough and when the motor came on the torque spun the motor, not the blade. It could be fixed, but this is a quality issue and I do not carry them.

Saws - I recommend
Ameritool Saw 4"/5"Ameritool Saw 4"/5"

A lot of the pros I know that do faceting, intarsia, inlay and glass work really like this saw. It is easy to clean and maintain/change the blades. This is about the best saw in it's class (4"/5") I have seen.

This saw runs fast enough to use ultra thin blades and it is powerful enough because of the 1/4 hp motor to run heavier centered blades, which last longer and are for more heavy duty cutting and longer wear.

This is a nice saw for about any duty work (comes with 4" x 0.015" - 5/8" arbor). It has double bearings, a bigger motor (1/4 hp), direct drive and is over all much better built and more solid than the other saw in it's class.

***Ameritool Trim - 4"/5" Trim Saw - complete with, saw blade, vice/guide - Price $358.95

The wattage of our saw is 175. We recommend a power transformer for our international customers. It is a 200 watt step up & down power transformer. Information about the transformer follows:
