Loupes

Price $44.95
Loupe Cords
Ever been to a gem show and set your loupe some where and lost it?I have lost a good loupe more often then I would like to admit... every once and a while I forget and walk away with some poor dealers loupe too. I do always return it when I realize what I did...
Well here is the solution. This is a nice chord that is about 20" long and will fit most people with a comfortable working length around their neck.
Do not take it off when you are examining rough, or you may lose it anyway. But the loupe cord really does make it much easier to keep track of your loupe.
This cord is a nice way to help keep track of your loupe. The cord also makes it harder to forgt your loupe and wander off with out it.
Price $3.95
Diamond Loupe 21mm 10x - (with leather case)
This is a nice loupe for not a lot of money, I use one of these myself.
I find the gold finish to last the best, the loupe is made with brass so if the plating gets thin with use the brass/gold wears the best.Price $18.95
Diamond Loupe 18mm 10x - (with leather case)
This is a nice loupe for not a lot of money, I use one of these myself.
I find the gold finish to last the best, the loupe is made with brass so if the plating gets thin with use the brass/gold wears the best.Price $16.95
10x Bausch & Lomb Hastings - (not an 18mm diameter loupe)
This is considered one of the best quality loupes that there is... I can see this is a sharper loupe, but then again it is more money. The over-all size of this loupe is smaller, which if your hands are on the smaller side will make this easier to hold while cutting.
It is available in black.Price $49.95
Opti VISOR - Optical Glass Binocular Magnifier
I do not really recommend these for faceting. They do not have enough magnification for most faceting I think. But some people do like to use them.
But for people that wear glasses (I had a friend recently point this out to me) they
are very helpful when doing general work.I recommend a 10x loupe of some kind, but these are nice, I use one myself for taking a quick look at rough, cabbing, setting stones, and just general work... I carry the most common lens #5 (2 1/2 power), #7 (2 3/4 power), #10 (3 1/2 power)
Note: I prefer the #10 for miost lapidary work.
Price $32.95 (Note the higher magnication lenses are a little more)
Opti-loupe (pictured in fore ground - doubles what ever power the lens is...)
Price $5.95
