Sunstone (Feldspar, Bytonite, Laboradorite, Spectrolite, Orthoclase)

Tilt (SUN16.JRG)
By Jeff R. Graham
Copyright 2006 84.7%
Light Return Angles for R.I. = 1.54
25 facets + 4 facets on girdle = 29
2-fold, mirror-image symmetry
96 index
L/W = 2.014 T/W = 0.368 T/L = 0.183 P/W = 0.467
C/W = 0.190 H/W = (P+C)/W+0.02 = 0.677 P/H = 0.690 C/H = 0.280 Vol./W^3 = 0.779

Addition # 11 - Cut in refractive indexes 1.54 to 2.14 with no changes. This is for those long layers of Sunstone that are dichroiac, different colors on different axis's. I made this design so the color could be split down the keel length-wise and as the stone rocks the colors will change. The L/W on this design is not critical, 2.0 to 3.0 works well. This also works for single color material.
