What are Bargain pages all about?
I obviously handle a lot of rough and because of the volume that I have, naturally there are stones that are not of the internally flawless (IF) variety. I almost always have to buy in parcels from the mine(s) and end up with a fair amount of material that I cannot post as top material. Some times the rough is fairly included. But because of color it is still a very cuttable piece of rough (SI, P1, P2...) I do not want to mix this material into my regular rough pages, because I want people to be aware of exactly what they are.
So a "Bargain" section seems like the way to offer this nice cutting material, without getting any mix ups. Bargains are bargains for a reason. All the materials listed on these pages are NOT flawless, or they would be listed on my regular hand select rough pages, at hand select prices.
Be aware you will not be getting some thing for nothing, but if you want some nice inexpensive practice rough or want good colored rough and are willing to live with some imperfections... You can find it in my bargain section at a fair price.
I will use the same clarity system I use on my cut stones to label this rough, so please read through the definitions if you are not sure.
There will be some rough here from time to time that will cut a flawless stone, but you will generally have to work a flawless stone out of this rough. The rough itself will not be totally clean.
I will be updating this page on a regular basis, so check back.
