"Amethyst Bargains"

Siberian Amethyst - $ .80/carat

This is all basically VS to SI faceting material. This is the classic dark Siberian purple/red and the stones are in general clean of flaws, but they all have the classic "bread crumb" bubble lines and inclusions that is so typical of this African material. Because of the saturation of this material the "bread crumb" bubbles will usually not be apparent in the finished stones.

Note: The sizes range in this mateial quite a lot, 3 to 30 carats.

Uruguayan Amethyst Point - $ .50 to $1.50/carat
Locality: Uruguay

These are pretty nice stones, but they are not flawless, the clarity is VVS to I. These are points so the yields will be fair to good.The colors are a little zoned depending on the stone, but really pretty nice... They cut well in checker boards... The inclusions in most of these stones (not the parcels) are carbon spots, or small brown tear drop spots. They will not show in most of the stones and will cut out in some of them...
